We are looking for  a talented and motivated individual to help our team spearhead this new area. The main responsibility consists of working with the Directors to push our Drupal tools to a new level with upcoming innovations in Artificial intelligence and large language models.

Currently several of our clients are interested and/or using AI with Drupal and have built some tools to assist in applying AI to automation and validating against previous data. Your role will involve working on improving the AI powered software our clients used, especially our delay repay system but also improving and releasing the core open source modules that enable this.

About the Role

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing and implementing the overall web development strategy for the Freely Give’s approach to AI.

  • Take ownership of maintaining and improving our innovative AI based business application for its users and managing and working through the backlog of tasks related to that software.

  • Take the AI tools we have developed for business applications and expand them for a wider use-case, including allowing non-developers to independently set up similar tools themselves for a variety of use cases. This will likely involve integrating the tool with common Drupal modules such as ECA.

  • Get involved as a voice in the Drupal community helping build a community around Drupal and AI and providing assistance on the issue queues. You will have access to project management support to assist you in this.

  • Some level of assistance in managing the digital infrastructure, including web servers, databases, cloud platforms, and networking components. However the focus of this role will be where it impacts AI such as setting up the hosting of open source LLMs.

  • Some time in this role will be spent supporting our existing Drupal projects and clients.

Essential Skills

  • Three years minimum experience with Drupal, especially back-end module development.

  • Proficient  or familiarity in related languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, php) and frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js, Symfony). Familiarity with a language related to AI may also be necessary, especially python. Whilst we are unlikely to build production products with python a great deal of our inspiration will come from python projects such as LangChain.

  • Proficient with responsive design, user experience (UX), and user interface (UI) design concepts. Ideally demonstrate an understanding of good UX for back-end systems that are more than simply managing content.

  • A self-motivated individual. We will support and guide you and work alongside you. We are looking for people who can develop their own passion and vision for the projects they work with in collaboration with the leadership team and other developers at Freely Give. This won’t be a role where someone assigns you tasks to complete.

  • This will be a remote position with requirements to travel occasionally for company events, industry events or occasionally visiting clients.

Benefits

  • We provide flexibility to help you achieve a good work-life balance. We have a strong focus on mental health and care more that you are providing value than a strict 9-5.

  • We offer benefit options in and out of the workplace, including life insurance, a retirement plan and annual leave. We care about our employees' welfare and focus our benefits package on the benefits which support your wellbeing. We also recognize that everyone has different priorities, so in addition to our core benefits to support your health we offer flexible options for you to choose benefits that are right for you, your family and your lifestyle.

  • We believe in non-stop learning and are committed to investing in learning opportunities that help you reach your full potential and support your continued development.
